Portland likes its lefty politics, beer, and parties. Therefore, this Election Night will cause some heavy drinking, though I think I speak for most every sane person on the planet when I say it better be in celebration, not bitter disappointment and sadness.
All of the events I could find, in no particular order, after the jump:
NEW ADDITIONS:

We’re throwin’ an election-night rager with cheap bowling and beers, high-def TV coverage and live tunes from Joe Nasty. Plus, radio man Rick Emerson will be broadcasting live, so when the final count is in, all of PDX will hear your yawp of victory—or whimper of defeat. Grand Central Bowl, 808 SE Morrison St., 236-2695. 6 pm Tuesday, Nov. 4. Free.
- Blitz Ladd (2239 SE 11th Ave) is having a party. As I witnessed first hand a few weeks ago, they certainly have enough TVs to go around. Also smoke free and “child friendly.”
- Gilt Club (306 NW Broadway) is having a soiree as well:
Hey There!
We wanted to let everyone know that due to all of the requests, we will be showing the next presidential debate (Oct 15) and election night coverage (Nov 4) on the TV in the mirror and throughout the dining room.
More importantly, we had another anniversary! Check out the attached flyer. With all thats going on right now who couldn’t use a free drink? And this year with no lines to get it! Feel free to use it during the debate or anytime this month. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
- There was a notice on the Chalk wall at the Green Dragon about election night festivities, but who knows. Their website reminds us that every Tuesday is Meet the Brewer night, and Election night is Baron Brewing
Did I miss any?
Grab a beverage / slice and sit out the election hubub in front of our big screen. We’ll have national coverage running in HD until they call the election!See you there!

Who’s giving out the free abortions?
I’d try the Ballot Measures party first, but I’m sure there will be someone at the Bus Project Party with some skillz
I read something about a party at the Cleaners. $15 buys you free food from Clyde Common and beer and champagne. And 10 tvs.
That, and a whole lot more, are here: http://pdxpipeline.wordpress.com/2008/11/01/2008-election-results-watch-parties-in-portland-bars-theaters-cafes-november-4/
