I have this shiny new site here, and the Blogtown @ the Mercury has decided I’m on their blogroll, so excuse me a moment if I attempt to figure out who keeps coming to this site.
I know a bit about people (from statcounter), for instance:
- Most of my hits come from Oregon and SW Washington, but I have a small following in areas of Europe.
- The two most common search terms that bring random people here are varieties of “how to cut cocaine” (from my review of Kinta) and “Dick Cakes” (from this random craigslist re-post). This makes me strangely proud.
Anyway, here’s the deal. If you’re a regular reader, leave a comment, and answer me these questions three
- Where you’re from & the name of your blog/website (feel free to link to it)
- The best dish you’ve ever ordered, and where it came from
- Your favorite 80s rock-star hairdo (with evidence!)
Feel free to tell me how much I suck, or share any other thoughts you might have.
there you have it. DE-LURK!

My website is chuffle.com I’m from Portland, I think of you as a kind of borderline molesty uncle and my favorite hairdo is this one from Flock of Seagulls – http://blahblahblah.beloblog.com/archives/flock.JPG I don’t really have the proof anymore because the police seized all those pictures and the props for their investigation, and I don’t think they’re gonna give them back.
I know you from college. That’s why I read your blog. I know that you majored in linguistics while there, and I also know that you developed a reputation for your vegan cooking skills. I guess you’ve loosened your dietary restrictions since then. At any rate, one of the best dishes I have eaten is the chile rellenos from Allegria in Silver Lake in Los Angeles. They are not deep fried or soaked with cheese. They let the vegetables and the creme fraiche do all the work. My favorite rock star haircut from the 1980′s is George Michael’s feathered thing from his Wham! days. It was beautiful. Here’s a link to their allmusic page with plenty of images: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:difqxqr5ldfe. I understand that they were never truly rockers, but GM did have fabulous hair.
My name is The Guilty Carnivore. I call myself that because, mentally, I’m still a child. I operated a blog called Guilty Carnivore, which I won’t link to because my name is already linked to my website and linking to it again is repetitive and narcissistic.
My favorite dish hands-down would have to be the McRib.
In terms of favorite eighties hairdo, that honor would have to be bestowed upon Poison’s CC Deville:

Try kicking that out of bed in the morning. You would/could not.
My name is Angelhair and I found you through Portland Food.
The best dish I have ever ordered. I have no idea. I eat out a lot. I have a host of food memories.
Favorite 80s hairdo? No question, Robert Smith of the Cure:http://www.thecure.com/about/photo_viewer.asp?AssetID=576662&ArtistID=491count=1&Title=The%20Cure%20b/w%20Band%20Photo%2087-97

1) you know who I am, no blog, cause that’s just how I roll. Though I do provide such lovley tib-bits as the tranny link from the best of craig’s list.
2) Mexican hot dog from el Guerro Canello. Chaos in a bun, with the fine scent that comes when you know you are looking death in the face, or that could just be the vato who’s car you dinged as you pulled up.

Oh hell yeah. Bangs that look like a poodle’s ass….check! Braid mullet with beads….check. Moody eyeliner that brings out the poodle’s ass look….check! 10 points for difficulty of execution and another 10 for syle longevity. This look hasn’t even come back ironically that shows class.
